Position:  Business Development Specialist

Location: Markham, ON (mostly remote, 1 or 2 days in the office a week)

Contract Duration/Position Type: Permanent, Full Time

Salary: $50,000.00 to $70,000.00 /year; Plus Performance Bonus

Role Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven business development specialist to join our team at Neptune Nanotechnologies Inc. As a key member of our sales force, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our reach within the chemical and plastic industries. Based in Toronto, Canada, this position is ideal for candidates with a minimum of 2 years of sales experience in the chemical and plastic sectors. You will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with our CEO and assist in generating leads, setting up high-quality meetings, and fostering relationships with potential clients.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with the CEO to identify and engage potential clients in the chemical and plastic industries.

  • Utilize your sales experience to book qualified meetings for the CEO, ensuring a high level of quality and relevance.

  • Participate in customer meetings alongside the CEO, contributing your insights and expertise.

  • Support the development of a comprehensive sales strategy and playbook, working closely with external advisors.

  • Execute outreach campaigns, leveraging various sources such as databases, trade shows, and targeted research.

  • Establish relationships with prospects, present product features and benefits, address technical queries and guide them through the sales process.

  • Represent the company's vision and product value proposition at conferences, trade shows, and client meetings.

  • Provide logistical and customer support as needed.

  • Maintain a strong understanding of our products, services, and the competitive landscape.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years of sales experience, preferably in the chemical and plastic industries.

  • Proficiency in telephone-based sales, with the ability to engage potential clients effectively.

  • Proactively initiate and manage outreach efforts through emails, LinkedIn campaigns, and trade show networking to cultivate business relationships. Must have proficiency in utilizing CRM platforms and a diverse toolset to track communications, follow-ups, and lead progression.

  • Strong organizational skills to manage accounts, time, and resources efficiently.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to establish rapport and address client needs.

  • A proactive and problem-solving attitude, capable of overcoming objections and closing sales.

  • Enjoys building professional relationships and collaborating with peers, clients, and various departments.

  • Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and can manage multiple tasks concurrently.

  • Positive "can do" attitude, eager to contribute to the company's growth.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word or PDF format for document sharing.
